To the community: Satanic Temple club NOT offered on a TUSD campus

Recent media reports have brought attention to a request by The Satanic Temple to hold an “After School Satan” club at Roskruge Bilingual K-8. Our legal counsel has referred the organization to our policy requirements regarding after school clubs. The suggested club does not currently meet the minimum requirement of having a faculty sponsor for the operation of any student club on a Tucson Unified School District campus.

The Governing Board policy (JJA) can be found here:

The Satanic Temple’s website states that the club is offered at Roskruge; Tucson Unified School District wants the community to know that information is NOT correct. The district has requested that the group remove the school from their website.

Parents or community members with questions or concerns can contact the office of the Superintendent at 520-225-6060. Members of the media may call Communications and Media Relations at 520-225-6101 or email
